Terms of Service for SagaSurf

Welcome to SagaSurf! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SagaSurf mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"), provided by SagaSurf ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using SagaSurf, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.
2. User Accounts
To publish stories, earn payouts, or purchase virtual currency, you must create an account.
Accuracy: You must provide accurate and complete information.
Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy & Community Guidelines
SagaSurf allows users to upload, publish, and interact with stories ("Content"). We maintain a Strict Zero Tolerance Policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior.
You agree NOT to post Content or engage in behavior that:
Is illegal, defamatory, libelous, or promotes violence.
Contains sexually explicit material, pornography, or non-consensual sexual content.
Contains hate speech, racial or ethnic slurs, or discriminatory language.
Harasses, bullies, doxes, or threatens other users.
Infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of others.
Reporting and Moderation: We utilize automated AI moderation tools and human review to enforce these guidelines. Users can flag or report objectionable content and abusive users directly within the App. We reserve the right to remove any Content and permanently ban users who violate this policy within 24 hours of receiving a valid report, without prior notice.
4. Content Ownership and License
Your Ownership: You retain full ownership of the original literary content you create and publish on SagaSurf.
Our License: By publishing Content on SagaSurf, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, modify (for formatting purposes), and automatically generate text-to-speech (TTS) audio versions of your Content for consumption by other users within the App.
5. Virtual Currency, Purchases, and Payouts
SagaSurf utilizes a virtual currency ("Coins") to unlock chapters and tip creators.
Purchases: Coins purchased via Apple or Google Play are strictly virtual, non-transferable, and non-refundable, except where required by law.
Tipping & Unlocks: When you spend Coins to tip a creator or unlock a chapter, the transaction is final.
Creator Payouts: Creators earn a designated percentage of the Coins spent on their stories. Payouts are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). Creators must complete necessary onboarding (including identity and tax verification) to receive payouts. We reserve the right to withhold payouts if fraud, terms violations, or artificial manipulation of earnings is suspected.
6. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the UGC guidelines, you agree not to:
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the App or collect data.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App's infrastructure, including the audio generation or Coin ledger systems.
Impersonate any person or entity, including SagaSurf staff.
Create multiple accounts to manipulate story rankings, likes, or free coin distributions.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
As-Is Service: The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Content Disclaimer: We do not endorse, support, or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any User-Generated Content. You consume stories at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, SagaSurf and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the App.
8. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
