1. Information We Collect
To provide you with the best audio storytelling experience, we collect the following types of information:
Account Information: When you register, we collect your username, email address, and profile picture (if uploaded).
User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect the stories, chapters, and comments you publish or save.
Listening & Usage Data: We track your listening progress, saved library, unlocked chapters, and interactions with the App to sync your experience across devices.
Financial Information: If you purchase or earn SagaSurf Coins, your transaction history is recorded on our secure ledger. Note: We do not store sensitive credit card or bank details on our servers. All payment processing and creator payouts are securely handled by our third-party payment processors (Stripe, Apple App Store, and Google Play).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
To operate, maintain, and provide the features of the App.
To generate high-quality text-to-speech (TTS) audio for published stories.
To process virtual currency transactions (Coins, tipping, and chapter unlocks).
To monitor and moderate User-Generated Content for safety and compliance.
To manage creator earnings and facilitate payouts.
To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted third-party services necessary to operate SagaSurf:
Google Firebase: Used for secure database hosting, user authentication, and cloud storage.
Stripe / App Stores: Used to securely process in-app purchases and creator payouts.
Unreal Speech: Used strictly to synthesize written chapters into audio formats.
Google Gemini AI: Used for automated content moderation to ensure stories comply with our safety standards before publication.
4. Content Moderation & User Safety (UGC Policy)
SagaSurf maintains a Zero Tolerance policy for objectionable content. User-generated text is processed through automated AI moderation filters and may be reviewed by human moderators to prevent the spread of illegal, defamatory, highly explicit, or abusive material. Accounts found violating our community guidelines will be permanently terminated, and associated data will be removed.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You have complete control over your data. You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time.
How to delete your account and data:
Open the SagaSurf App.
Navigate to your Profile.
Tap the Delete Account button at the bottom of the screen.
Confirm the deletion.
Warning: This action is instantaneous and cannot be undone. It will permanently delete your user profile, saved library, published stories, coin balance, and any pending creator earnings from our active servers.
6. Security
We value your trust in providing us with your personal information and use industry-standard, commercially acceptable means to protect it (such as Firebase's encrypted servers). However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
SagaSurf does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
